Leeds Local Medical Committee Event CCG to ICS: What’s the implications for general practice?

Posted on:

Leeds LMC will be hosting this event and invite you to attend.

The event is taking place on Tuesday 24th May 2022. Registration / buffet meal starting at
6:30pm with the event running 7-9pm, at Weetwood Hall, Lawnswood Suite, Otley Rd, LS16
5PS.

As you will be aware, should the government’s plans for NHS reorganisation be approved
by parliament Leeds CCG will be replaced by the West Yorkshire Integrated Care System (ICS).
The LMC would like the event to be an opportunity to discuss what will be the potential impact
for general practice and PCNs? Could it help to improve the way services are provided or will it
feel like just another NHS reorganisation? Could it lead to a fundamental change to the way we
work with other organisations, particularly the relationship between community and secondary
care services?

We would like the event to give GPs and primary care staff an overview of the ICS before
delving into the tangible changes relevant to general practice.
