Enhanced Access (Sessional work)

We have many various roles available; these roles have arisen due to the growth of the Enhanced Access services we are providing the people of Leeds. The Enhanced Access services are provided in 21 hubs across the city, we run during evenings and weekends, 7 days a week, 365 days a year with lots of capacity available for new staff to onboard.

The roles within Enhanced Access provide a remarkable opportunity to work flexibly around your substantive roles and/or home lives, we currently have a workforce of over 450 providing endless opportunities to network, expand and learn in the primary care sector.

It is a very exciting time as we are working closely with PCN’s to ensure the models we deliver meet the needs of local populations, we are introducing new services such as LARC clinics, supporting the NHS health check programme and piloting projects to offer more services to patients.

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioners with full skill sets, who can see children of all ages

Dermatology Training Offer by Leeds Community Dermatology Collaborative

The Leeds Community Dermatology Collaborative would like to support the training and supervision of future ANPs with extended role (ANPwER) and GPs with extended role (GPwER) in Dermatology to bring in new talent to our existing pool of excellent dermatology clinicians for the benefit of the Leeds dermatology patient population for years to come. 

Our offer is to support the accreditation process which requires competencies in clinical dermatology, as per collaborative guidance from RCGP, BAD and PCDS.

We will support the clinician by offering clinical supervision verifying competencies through Mini- CEX and DOPS. There may be funding available for accreditation for those who are successful in obtaining a substantive post with us.

We will take applications for the salaried posts below from ANP’s and GP’s who:

  • Are experienced practitioners – at least 5 years of experience as an independent ANP/ GP.
  • Have completed a recognised UK Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology / other dermatology CPD/ experience.
  • Wish to work for the Leeds Community Dermatology Collaborative and are invested in making Leeds a fantastic place for Dermatology.
  • Have a track record of safe, effective clinical practice – insight and ability to ask for help and work with a clinical mentor.

Salaried posts:

Qualified GPwERs and ANPwERs

For candidates who are already accredited by the RCGP, experienced in the role and are able to work unsupervised. There will still be mentoring and educational support from our team of experienced GPwERs and Consultants.

Trainee ANPwER and GPwERs

For candidates who have completed a recognised Post Graduate Dermatology Diploma , we will offer a pre accreditation salaried post with the ability to request support and clinical supervision from senior GPwERs and an opportunity to work with us as part of the Leeds Community Dermatology team.

ANP / GP with Special Interest in Dermatology

This role is for clinicians who have not yet completed the Dermatology Diploma but have equivalent dermatology CPD / experience in dermatology.  Applications will be considered on an individual basis.
