5 As of Access

Access’ is a word used all the time within the context of Primary Care and the wider system; but what is it? People don’t all have the same understanding of the word ‘access’. Access is complex and multi-faceted, and much broader than about offering more appointments.

We worked together to pull together the 5 As of Access; a reminder of the different aspects of access, and benchmarks we can aim for when planning any work in Primary Care.
