Introducing Leeds Community Ambulatory Paediatric Service (CAPS)

Posted on:

Over the winter months there has been an increase of respiratory infections, particularly in children and young people. To help relieve these pressures on primary and secondary care we are pleased to announce that the new Leeds Community AmbulatoryPaediatric Service (CAPS) will commence from Monday 23rd January. CAPS has been developed to help manage paediatric presentations, specifically children with acute respiratory symptoms and will run until the end of March 2023.

The CAPS service will be an adaptation of the Same Day Response (SDR) Paediatric Clinics. Over the past month this service has had a positive impact on the system across Leeds, and we want to give a massive thank you to all staff that have contributed towards the service’s delivery.

The CAPS service will operate from St Georges Urgent Treatment Centre and will offer a blend of face to face and virtual provision.

If you have any questions about this service, please contact Shaun Major-Preece, Clinical Lead on [email protected]
