We’re really passionate about training the next generation of general practice staff at Leeds GP Confederation.
Leeds GP Confederation is working with Leeds Student Medical Practice (lead for the city’s Training Hub) and the University of Leeds to set up a city-wide ‘Centre for Primary and Community Based Education.’
Providing training and workforce development opportunities for undergraduate students in primary care networks across Leeds will ultimately increase our workforce. It also improves retention rates and education.
Whilst we have grand plans, we need to start small. We eventually want this innovative training hub to offer multi-specialty training at an under and postgraduate level. This will include medical students, nursing students, but also ARRs roles, admin & practice management.
There could be further opportunities for Leeds PCNs in the future.
