Chandos Medical Centre re-opens its doors after refurbishment

Chandos Medical Centre has officially re-opened its doors this week (Tuesday 19 November) after a major makeover project with the aim of providing a modern environment for patients and staff.

The refurbishment of the medical practice is now complete with the new look surgery welcoming its first patients this week.

Beginning in the spring of 2019, the project has seen a number of improvements made to the practice including the introduction of a new audio system in the waiting area, improved signage and flooring as well additional facilities to make the site accessible for all.

The new features will help bring the surgery’s facilities up-to-date to meet the needs of a continually growing and diverse local population and responds to feedback given by patients and staff.

Dr Mohammed Sattar, GP Partner, said, “We’ve had an incredible 2019 and want to continue to be leaders in providing the best care for our patients.

“New additions like an automated front door to help improve access for people with mobility issues were brought about following feedback from patients and the practice have been keen to ensure that every upgrade has been made with our patients in mind.

“Ultimately our goal is to be on the side of our patients and it is their feedback that will guide how the practice continues to update and improve the surgery moving forward.

“The refurbished building demonstrates our commitment to the communities we work in. As part of our wider outreach programme, members of the GP practice will visit Allerton High School to give careers talks to hopefully inspire the next generation of healthcare practitioners.”

Chandos Medical Centre is based at 123 Lidgett Lane, Leeds, LS8 1QR and is part of Woodhouse Medical Practice.
