Petra has a background in leisure management and moved to Leeds in 2000 to manage Street Lane Practice, where she is still based.
Since 2005, she has been a member of the leadership team of Calibre, which represents 25 GP practices in north Leeds.
Petra’s specialist interest is utilising innovation to transform Primary Care. She is the extended access service delivery lead for Calibre, implementing an innovative service model and working collaboratively with the other GP federations to bring the citywide EA service under the Confederation management.
Her strengths lie in assessing how decisions will affect practices and as a practice manager, understanding the challenges that practices have on a daily basis. Petra’s role for the Confederation is operational to support practices in delivering new models of care. She is operationally focused and many of her current responsibilities will focus on how the Confederation can transform the service delivery for patients through technology and the skills of a multi-disciplinary workforce.
Petra is committed to ensuring that the Confederation continues to support and facilitate change to enable primary care to maintain and improve delivery of quality services to patients.
