Our refresher training is designed to refresh your knowledge and skills and update you on the latest clinical or legislative improvements. Completing this course will help you meet revalidation requirements to maintain your registration.

- COPD and the population it affects.
- Symptoms of COPD.
- Impact of COPD on an individual’s quality of life.
- Key diagnostic tools used in COPD
- How to diagnose COPD in practice
- Pharmacological (medicine-based) and non-pharmacological (lifestyle-based) pathways used in COPD. Reviewing formularies and why they are created.
- Signposting.
- Treatment options in practice and the reasoning behind them.
- Understanding when to refer to specialist practitioners.
- COPD red flags
- Complete a full annual review and follow up as required including all the elements of good COPD care including but not exhaustive of: Lifestyle advice; CAT, MRC, ABE assessment; Inhaler technique; Medication management; Through patients’ choice and empowerment; spirometry; Follow up/monitoring; Written action plans; Vaccination
